About delegation
Governance tokens carry no voting power until they are delegated — including to yourself. Holding a large balance and never delegating is one of the most common reasons people find they cannot vote on something they care about. Delegation moves weight, never tokens: the delegate can vote with your balance but can never spend or transfer it, and you can redirect or revoke whenever you like by delegating somewhere else. This only works for tokens implementing ERC20Votes; anything else will simply revert.

What does delegating governance tokens do?
It moves voting power to an address — often yourself — without moving the tokens. Until you delegate, many ERC-20Votes tokens simply do not count your balance in on-chain votes even though you still own them.
Can a delegate spend my tokens?
No. Delegation grants vote weight, not transfer rights. A delegate who tries to move your balance cannot do so with delegation alone. You can redelegate or return power to yourself at any time with another delegate transaction.
Which tokens can I delegate here?
Tokens that implement ERC-20Votes or compatible delegation. Others revert. If a token has no delegates mapping, this page cannot invent one — governance stays with whatever mechanism that project actually shipped.
