About liquidation price
Liquidation is not a price the exchange picks arbitrarily — it is the point where your losses have eaten the margin down to the maintenance requirement, and it follows directly from entry price, leverage and the venue's maintenance margin rate. At 10× the cushion is roughly 10%, at 50× it is roughly 2%, which is why high leverage is less a return multiplier than a countdown. Two things this figure does not include: funding payments and fees both drain margin while a position is open, so the real liquidation price creeps toward you the longer you hold.
