About send

A plain transfer, with the checks that matter folded into the same screen rather than living on another site. An ENS name is resolved and the address it points at is shown before you commit, because a name is a pointer its owner can repoint at any time. The recipient is screened against known malicious addresses as you type. Everything else is deliberately boring, because transfers are final: no support desk, no chargeback, no undo. On Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Ethereum, Polygon, Avalanche and Unichain the network fee can be paid in USDC via Circle Paymaster (toggle); elsewhere you still need the chain's native coin. Site fee is always zero; the network fee is never free.

Common questions

Can I send crypto to someone without an exchange?

Yes — that is what this page does. You need the recipient's address and a wallet holding the tokens, and the transfer goes from your wallet straight to theirs with nothing in between. No account, no custody, and no exchange ever holds the funds.

What happens if I send crypto to the wrong address?

It is gone. There is no support desk, no chargeback and no undo — a transfer that has been included in a block cannot be reversed by anyone, including us. If the address simply does not exist the coins are still gone, because nothing on chain checks that an address belongs to somebody. This is why the recipient field here is screened against known-malicious addresses and against lookalikes of addresses you have used before.

Why do I need ETH to send a token like USDC?

On most networks the fee is paid in the chain's own coin, so a wallet with USDC and none of that coin cannot send. On Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Ethereum, Polygon, Avalanche and Unichain this page can pay the network fee in USDC instead, through Circle's on-chain Paymaster — you turn that on before signing. Elsewhere you still need the native coin. The site fee is always zero; the network fee is never free, and on Base and Arbitrum Circle adds a 10% surcharge on that fee (0% on the other five). Published paymaster address: 0x0578cFB241215b77442a541325d6A4E6dFE700Ec.

Can I pay the network fee in USDC when I send?

Yes on Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Ethereum, Polygon, Avalanche and Unichain, when your wallet can sign EIP-7702 and you hold enough USDC for the fee. The toggle is labelled 'Pay network fee in USDC' and uses Circle's permissionless Paymaster; USDC never routes through a site contract. On every other network here the fee stays in the native coin. Site fee remains 0 either way.

How much does it cost to send crypto?

It depends on the network, not on the amount — sending $10 and $10,000 cost the same. The fee is shown here before you sign, in the chain's own coin, in USDC when that mode is on, and in dollars where the chain has a price we can verify. Ethereum is usually the most expensive of the fourteen networks here and the rollups are usually a fraction of a cent. Our cut is zero on every send.
